Coast Film Festival Event - Remaining Native screening

Seventeen-year-old Native American runner Kutoven Stevens dreams of becoming a collegiate athlete while carrying the story of his great-grandfather’s escape from an Indian boarding school. As past and present converge, Remaining Native becomes a coming-of-age portrait of identity, resilience, family history, and the challenge of imagining a future rooted in heritage.
