RISKY "Beyond the Wave" with Chris Nuñez
An evening of art, environmentalism and surfing, renowned artist RISK and special guest Chris Núñez are the creative minds behind the upcoming “Beyond The Wave” event. Taking place at RISK’s Compound Contemporary Gallery in Thousand Oaks, California, on March 28, the gathering will feature transformative artwork, ranging from vibrant graffiti to thought-provoking installations, while also reflecting on the intersection of art and environmental responsibility.
At the centerpiece of the event is an exclusive surfboard auction which will feature surfboards painted by RISK and Núñez. Proceeds will go towards SHACC’s mission of preserving and sharing the history, heritage and culture of surfing.
Teaming up with the organization 4Ocean, this event also marks the launch of their new West Coast operation, as well as the new partnership with SHACC. Some of the proceeds from the surfboard auction will also go towards 4Ocean’s efforts to fight the battle against plastic pollution in our oceans.
