About Herbie Fletcher
Herbie Fletcher is a surfing legend — known for his fearless style, creative mind, and lasting influence on surf culture. He pioneered Astrodeck, the first surfboard traction pad, and helped lead the charge in tow-in surfing, pushing performance to new limits. Herbie has also collaborated with Blue Chip artist and filmmaker, Julian Schnabel on various projects and have exhibited together and also had solo shows at prestigious galleries such as the Gagosian Gallery in New York.
As a filmmaker, his Wave Warriors series captured the raw edge of surfing and earned a cult following. As an artist, his work blends photography, surfboards, and mixed media — exhibited around the world.
The Fletcher Legacy:
Dibi Fletcher – Herbie’s wife and the driving force behind Astrodeck
Christian Fletcher – Aerial surfing pioneer
Nathan Fletcher – Big-wave icon and creative force
Greyson Fletcher – Pro skater, surfer, and artist
The Fletchers have influenced generations. This exhibit celebrates that legacy — and the spirit of innovation, rebellion, and creativity that defines it.
